New Orleans, La. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its 2025-26 All-Academic honors Monday afternoon. Twelve Bearcat student athletes earned this honor as well as both men and women were named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic teams.
To qualify for this award, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 GPA wile either ranking in the top 50 in the Nation in an event or participated at the indoor or outdoor National Championships. As well, they could be a member of one of the top 35 relay teams.
Among the 12 that qualified for this award, four are on the men's side and eight on the women's side. For the men, Gavin Ducscherer,
Kaleb Nail,
Cade Nold, and
Andrew Rhoades. The women's side includes
Stephanique Dean,
Laura Dixon,
Olivia Littleton,
Kiersten Potter,
Lily Simmons,
Alexis Turner,
Sierra Wallace, and
Emily Young.
After the most successful seasons in SBU track and field history, the teams continued to excel in the classroom as both men and women received All-Academic team awards. To qualify for this award, all student-athletes on the NCAA squad list must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
