Indianapolis, Ind. – SBU athletics begins GLVC Academic Award week with record setting 13 teams earning Academic honors. This award is given to the teams that compete in GLVC competition who maintain a 3.30 grade point average throughout the school year.
 
For the second straight year, women's tennis led the Bearcats with a 3.86 GPA followed by women's volleyball with a 3.71 GPA. Following those teams include softball (3.67), women's swimming (3.64), women's cross country (3.60), STUNT (3.58), women's track and field (3.54), women's basketball (3.47), men's tennis (3.46), men's soccer (3.44), women's soccer (3.38), baseball (3.38), men's cross country (3.30).
