Indianapolis, Ind. – Bearcat history was made Monday afternoon, as two different Bearcats from baseball and men's volleyball earned GLVC Athlete of the Week, as announced by the conference office. Eli Stewart from baseball won their program's second GLVC Pitcher of the Week Award, while Keahi Kaneakua won the men's volleyballs' first ever GLVC Setter of the Week Award.
 
Stewart had an all-time great start for the Bearcats blanking the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers through his six innings pitched, leading SBU to a 17-0 victory. He had a no-hitter going into the 6^th inning and only allowed two hits throughout the contest. He only allowed two walks while striking out five batters and got some help from his defense for the strong outing.
 
Kaneakua has been an instrumental part to the Bearcat men's volleyball teams' early success being at 6-1 to start the season. This past weekend he helped them have a perfect six set sweep against two different teams. During those victories Kaneakua compiled 59 assists for 9.8 assists per set leading him to the GLVC Setter of the Week Award.
 
Baseball returns home this weekend to host Champion Christian College in a three-game set, with game one on Friday at 5 p.m. and games two and three on Saturday beginning at noon. Men's volleyball hits the road for two final non-conference bouts before conference action begins. They will battle Avila University in Kansas City on Friday and Saturday.
