Bolivar, Mo. – This weeks' Grand Missouri Bank Athlete of the Week belongs to women's soccer senior Katelynn Young for a three-goal week. She helped lead the team to an undefeated week where they defeated Drury and tied McKendree.
 
Young started out the week with a brace against Drury University scoring both goals within five minutes of each other. Those two goals led the team to a 2-0 victory over the Panthers for the first time since 2019. Just a few days later, Young added another goal to her tremendous week shortly into the second half of the game against McKendree. That helped SBU to a 2-2 tie with the second-best team in the GLVC.
 
Katelynn Young in the rest of the women's soccer team will compete in one final game of the 2026 season on Tuesday as they host Rockhurst University at 4 p.m.
