Bolivar, Mo. – SBU Director of Athletics, Clark Sheehy, announces the hiring of Cheyanne Matlock as the Co-Head Stunt and Cheer coach. She will work alongside current Stunt and Cheer coach Mandy Hancock.
 
"We are so excited too add Coach Cheyanne Matlock to our coaching staff at SBU." Sheehy said, "She brings experience having competed in STUNT, and a great enthusiasm to continue to grow our program!  We are excited to compete this spring in STUNT in its first year as an NCAA sport.  It's a great day to be a Bearcat!!"
 
Matlock was raised locally in Bolivar and graduated from Bolivar High School in 2019. She has over 15 years of cheering experience including at the collegiate level at both Iowa Western Community College and Southwest Baptist. She previously coach at Fair Play School and is "thrilled for the opportunity to return to SBU and Coach!"- Matlock
